Carver’s screws are the perfect solution for holding odd-shaped workpieces when doing three-dimensional carvings. The tapered screw is threaded into a predrilled hole in the back of the workpiece and tightened via a wrench or the square hole in the screw nut. The other end is placed through a hole in a workbench or table and secured in place with the large threaded wing nut. Threaded rod is 5/8” diameter and 9-1/2” long. The threaded portion of the screw is 3” long. Wing nut is 6-1/2” long x 1” wide by 3/16” thick. Screw is brass plated.
